Pascagoula River
As one of Mississippi’s truly undiscovered treasures, the Pascagoula River is the largest undammed river in the lower 48 states. This unique river system offers a stunning array of opportunities including dozens of large and small tributaries to explore. Or stay in the main river for more incredible scenery including beautiful sandbars and over 300 species of birds! The Pascagoula River starts as hundreds of smaller rivers, creeks, lakes, and finally bayous ending in the Gulf of Mexico. The river is the barrier between the City of Pascougula and The City of Gautier where it separates and becomes the West and the East Pascagoula River. Known to many as the Singing River from a love story that dates back to the indigenous people of this area.
